The journey of Inner ….

2006: Hilary Prentice launched a ‘psychology of change’ group in Totnes as one of the theme groups of the newly formed Transition Town Totnes project.

2007: Transition Network’s Inner Transition strand was co-founded by Hilary Prentice and Sophy Banks back in 2007. You can watch them sharing about the history of Inner Transition in this video.

2007 – 2015: Sophy Banks coordinated the Inner Transition strand of Transition Network (TN), raising awareness amongst TN staff and Board members so they could integrate it within their work serving the growing number of Transition groups initially around the UK and then internationally as the Transition movement spread. You can hear Sophy sharing about what Inner Transition means for her in this video.

2016 and beyond: Sophy passed the Inner Transition torch to Claire Milne, who became Inner Transition International Coordinator in January 2016. Claire’s priority is coordinating and supporting the integration of Inner Transition into Transition Initiatives around the world, as well as reaching out to communities, movements, organisations, projects, groups and individuals who are already on a strong inner journey and who are ripe for marrying this with more practical engagement in the world.
