Transition Northwich is a local group that aims to inspire, encourage, connect, support and train communities as they self-organise around the Transition model. This model broadly aims to create initiatives that encourage people and organisations to work towards a more sustainable way of living such as reducing their dependence on fossil fuels, building community and economic resilience to environmental change and reducing CO2 emissions.
Northwich Transition is part of a wider UK and international transition network that provides support and advice to local areas including other local towns and villages such as Frodsham, Kingsley, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton. Our town is already an exciting place to live, with a vibrant arts and cultural scene, a rich industrial heritage and waterways network. The Network does not aim to re-invent the wide range of activities that already take place in the town, rather it’s about creating a healthy human culture, one that meets our needs for community, livelihoods and fun. We’re here to support you.
