This is the copy for the email sent to Transition Culture subscribers who already have Transition Network user accounts to inform them of changes we have made to their accounts.
I hope you are well and having a good day. My name is Ed, I am the web manager for Transition Network.
As you may remember, Transition Culture is moving to Transition Network’s website. You responded to Rob’s survey about moving your subscription to Rob’s old blog to his new one. You replied saying you already have a Transition Network account.
We have automatically subscribed you to Rob’s new blog. I said that I would send you a mail showing you how to do it, but we worked out how to do it for you automatically, so we did.
I hope that you enjoy it. Please let me know if you have problems; they do happen and we learn from them. Technology is never perfect, particularly with a modest budget. I’m here to help.
I know that you are already familiar with the TN.org website, but it I’d like to draw your attention to a critical factor of difference that you will experience – making comments.
Because of its size and opportunities for spam, grizzly spam monsters want to leave their grotty slime trails on the site to increase their ghastly google rankings, so we have to have more spam prevention than Transition Culture did. This means that we all need to login in order to comment – which is different for you and a new thing to have to do.
I suggest that you log in straight away, and tell the login screen to remember you now while we’re here together. So that you’ve logged in, worked out how easy it is, and left your password in the system so it’s really simple next time.
If you can’t remember, I think that your username is:

So good luck, await Rob’s email alerts, and please bear with us while we help you and us adjust to a new way of doing things.
If you have problems, please get in touch with me; I’m here to help. NB I am going on holiday from Friday 28th June to Monday 8th July, so won’t be answering emails then.
