Job – Training & Events Co-ordinator, Transition Network
- 3 days per week
- Circa £30,127 p.a. pro rata
All over the world people are coming together with shared concerns about shrinking supplies of cheap energy, climate change, inequality and economic instability. They are taking action to build a future with much less reliance on fossil fuels and greatly reduced carbon emissions, creating just, caring and connected communities living within environmental limits.
Transition Network exists to inspire, encourage, connect and support communities as they self-organise around the transition model. Putting on events and training courses has always been a hugely important part of what we do and, to date, these activities have largely been organised and delivered by a small and committed team of free-lancers. As part of our wider staff restructure, we have now decided to bring the co-ordination of our training and events functions in-house, creating an employed part-time role.
We are seeking to appoint a Training & Events Coordinator who will develop, manage and help deliver TN’s training and events programme.
You will have experience of designing and delivering training that addresses climate change and environmental issues and builds community resilience. You will be capable of thinking strategically and imaginatively, developing new approaches in line with our wider organisational strategy and taking them through to effective implementation. A highly skilled collaborator, you will be able to build and maintain strong networks across the globe, commissioning, managing and working in partnership with others to ensure that TN’s training and events programme meets the diverse needs of a broad and rapidly-evolving movement.
