We are all assembled, people from all over the northwest and even further afield, all shapes and sizes and even some young people – more than a hundred of us in a wonderful airy hall at Cumbria, all wondering quite what a Transition Roadshow might do for us. Samagita in her best hat has welcomed all and introduced us to the what where and why of Lancaster being the pilot for the Roadshow. This is her take on the event:
There’s plenty of unresilient stuff going on round Lancaster; new motorways, threats of shopping malls, plans for a huge number of new houses. Sometimes we despair. We always need others – the roadshow is about shared ideas, shared concerns and all the laughs that make up the energy we need to go on and grow!
