Our guest editors Raquel Ribeiro and Daniel Pinheiro document stories of migration, particularly to their local area in Portugal, as well as examine the implications of migration and sustainable living. You can find their blog here.
In this, their third blog, they interviewed Adina and Katy in Italy earlier this year during the International Transition Network Hubs Gathering.
“We chose Luxembourg and Romania, two different countries with strong connections with Portugal. Romania, because the connections with Portugal and the similar challenges we face, with many young population emigrating in search of a better life. And Luxembourg because it is an interesting case in terms of multilingualism: 45% of the population are migrants being 16.4% Portuguese. The ideas that stuck in our mind were that it’s really important to be aware that we are all connected and bring this conscious to connect different worlds.”
