We have been in touch with The Media Trust, who ‘work with charities to enhance their communications and enable communities to find their voice and make it heard’. They have a ‘Volunteer Filmmaking scheme’, offering community groups and charities a cheap professionally made film.
Here is the information:
Small charities can benefit from professional filmmaking expertise at a fraction of the cost thanks to Media Trust’s Volunteer Filmmaking scheme.
Now in its sixth year and open for applications from charities based in England, the scheme has supported over 125 small organisations by producing a film for a small fee of £1,000. To date it has seen the equivalent of £1,250,000 donated in time and resources by the media industry.
The short films, which can be up to five minutes in length, will also be guaranteed a broadcast slot on national television channel, Community Channel. Examples of films made under the scheme can be seen on the Community Channel website.
Deadline for applications is Monday 2nd August.
