Keyne Walker

What do you do?

I am a Trustee and work with the network on strategy and organisation and anything else I can. I bring a background of both grassroots and national legal/policy organising for social and economic justice, and experience from a day job analysing, researching and (hopefully) influencing climate policies in the UK.

What do you find most surprising or delightful about working in the field of Transition?

Working at simultaneously local and global scales! It isn’t surprising but there’s something transcendent about being able to honestly sit with the nature of the Anthropocene and climate change and the radical systemic change it demands of us, and making a choice to work together locally. Getting to see and hear about the transformative potential of all kinds of communities exercising their power and agency, the innovation and the joy, is unendingly surprising and delightful.
