Frequently asked Questions
Do the fees cover all costs?
The fees will cover all costs you will need to do the course, provided you attend online via an internet connection. There is also the option to call in on a number (if your internet connection is not fast enough to join) which may be free but may incur some cost, depending on which country you are calling from. We will provide a full list of numbers if you need that option. Most internet connections are good enough to attend, but those in very rural areas, or in developing countries can have problems. As a general rule, if you can use Skype, then you will have not problems.
What language will the training be in?
This training in currently offered English, Spanish, or French. We are exploring creating the course in other languages.
What are the computer requirements?
You will need a computer and a good, reasonably fast internet connection to take part. See above, if you can Skype then attending the webinars will be no problem.
How much time will it take?
As you will have small tasks to complete in between webinars and the chance to chat and ask questions online with the facilitators and other participants in between webinars, we suggest that to get the most out of this course you allow 2 hours per week in addition to the 1 ½ hour webinars. Of course it is entirely up to you, and there will be the opportunity to continue to discuss and engage online after the course ends.
What if I have trouble accessing the webinars?
We will be taking some time at the beginning of the first webinar to help with any connection problems. The facilitators will be online 15-20 minutes before each webinar to help with any problems and make sure everyone has a good connection. There will be someone available in between session to help with technical problems.
Can I do selected modules?
We can only offer this course as a complete course. Of course it is up to you how much you participate. The webinars will be recorded and posted online and available once they are done for anyone to download and listen to as many times as you like free of charge.
Why can’t this course be free?
We are making this course available as cheaply as possible. We are just charging enough to cover our costs. And the webinars and online materials will be freely available.
Are there other times this course will be run?
We run this course usually in the mornings or the evenings UK time. We alternate, so one course will be in the morning, and the next time the course is run will be the evening. You will have to check when this is for you in your time zone. See the World Clock. We would be happy to run this course at other times. Please let us know times that are best for you and we will do our best to provide Launch Online at those times.
