the international level of the Transition Movement, have your profile added to our global map, and join our international Trainers Community of Practice, please submit your application here. We currently accept applications year-round and they are reviewed by members of our Training Support Circle on a monthly basis.
Please note the following requirements only apply to recognition at the international level of the Transition Movement. Regional and national Transition Hubs may have their own requirements.
There are two different pathways for official recognition at the international level:
Pathway 1
- Successfully complete a Transition Train the Trainers course. A new, online version of this (called Transition Facilitators Training) will be offered for the first time in English starting in September 2023.
- Demonstrate that you have facilitated at least one Transition Training in the past two years.
Pathway 2
- Be accredited as a trainer from another organisation or movement that is closely aligned with Transition, such as Gaia Education, Gaia University, the Global Ecovillage Network, Permaculture, 8 Shields, and The Work that Reconnects.
- Demonstrate that you have led at least three trainings related to Transition over the past two years.
Regardless of which pathway you choose, we require that all trainers participate actively in the Transition Movement, demonstrate their ability to deliver high-quality trainings, work cooperatively with other trainers, and seek to embody Transition Principles in everything they do.
