Ashden Awards looking for winners

The Ashden Awards are looking for applicants. This looks like something of great interest to Transition groups and projects.
Here is a message kindly forwarded to us:
If you know of innovative, inspirational local sustainable energy programmes in the UK which deserve to win an Ashden Award we’d like to hear about them. We are looking for businesses, not-for-profits, NGOs, social enterprises, schools and, new for 2011, public sector organisations, that are enabling the greater use of local sustainable energy or encouraging energy-saving behaviour change.
The 2011 UK Awards offer:
- Award money of £10,000 – £20,000
- A substantial Award package including: business or organisational support to help expand your work; introductions to potential funders, policy-makers and others working in the field; a short, broadcast quality film about the winning work; substantial media coverage.
- Businesses which apply will also be able to apply for further investment to grow their work.
