Find out about local energy projects in the UK
By Ben Brangwyn 4th February 2011
It’s all about sharing energy stories
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, tireless champion of chickens, fish and catalyser of LandShare has extended the latter idea into a new initiative – energyshare.
energyshare is becoming a really credible web destination for the vast subject of local energy – it’s an online social network, where groups and individuals can get together with like-minded people to share ideas, and it’s also fully stocked with useful tools, links and information.
They’ve been putting together some case studies of communities who are successfully generating their own energy. Case studies offer practical information and financial models, with tips and advice from community projects. Check out the filmed and written case studies here: www.energyshare.com/case-studies/full-case-studies/.
It’s really heartening to know there are people out there using their vision and hard work to make the connections between food, energy, animal welfare, human health and the vital fabric of community.
