Funding stream for food projects now open (London, UK)

Just received notice of a scheme that could be of immense help to some of the food initiatives in London.

Capital Growth the projects to start 2012 food growing spaces is launching its 7th funding round to finance community food growing projects. Please see text below, we where hoping it could be added into your news/newsletters.

“Capital Growth is offering funding to community groups starting or expanding community food-growing spaces. Grants are available from £150-£750 to finance seeds, tools, soil and other materials needed for the development of a food – growing space. The campaign’s 7th funding round is open until Monday, November 7th 2011 at 5pm and applications are available online.Community groups must have permission for the landowner in order to apply.
