Australian organisation supporting people in rented accommodation vising UK, July – Sept
This just came through and there may be transitioners out there who’d like to make contact with this group. They seem to be doing great work in an area that receives insufficient attention.
Hello Transition towns people,
we’re an equally small organisation based in Melbourne, Australia that works with helping renters live more sustainably, focussing on the positive and possible things people can do who live in that
more restricted situation. You can see more of what we do at www.greenrenters.org but basically, we’re coming to visit family in the UK in July – September and whilst we’re over we would like to meet up with like-minded groups and individuals and exchange ideas. We would also be up for delivering any public talks or workshops and if there are any other groups you think we should meet with then passing this message on would also be greatly appreciated!
Here’s some relevant material from their website:
Who are we?
We are a not-for-profit providing sustainable living advice specifically for those living in rental property. Renters are a growing part of the community and we believe their involvement is vital and possible. What do we do?
As the only organisation specifically for renters we deliver workshops, host events and run projects, this website is full of tips, tutorials, product reviews and inspiring stories.
Please contact Chris at Green Renters (chris@greenrenters.org) if you’d like to talk more.
