Help to grow your own local rural services

The Rural Development Programme for England has a fund of £7 Million to support voluntary and community organisations to become more self-financing and sustainable through the develoment of community and social enterprise activities.

The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) is funded by the European Union (EU) and the Government to support a wide range of activitites in rural areas.
The Community And Social Enterprise fund is a £7m funding stream within the RDPE to support voluntary and community organisations to become more self-financing and sustainable through the develoment of community and social enterprise activities. These could include:
- access to childcare
- rural community shop
- ‘multi use’ rural community facilities
- community renewable energy projects
- other community projects providing basic services locally
The funding has already started to roll out successfully, and they are particularly interested in hearing from young people.
