ODAC Speaker Offer

Are you working with your Council? Looking for an expert speaker to present on peak oil?
In the last newsletter you will have seen that the latest Transition Guide – Alexis Rowell’s inspiring Communities, Councils and a Low-Carbon Future: what we can do if governments won’t is now in book shops.
Alexis recommends that a useful step in engaging with your Local Authority can be to bring in an expert speaker to present to a group of Councillors and officials on peak oil. The Oil Depletion Analysis Centre (ODAC) has a programme to provide speakers for such events in the UK. There is no fee to the Council except to cover travel expenses from London. ODAC has provided speakers for a number of events around the country which have included Local Authority Energy Partnerships, Policy Forums, LA21 meetings, joint Transition/Council events and others.
