Our theme this month is catching up
By rob hopkins 11th November 2014
You may have noticed that it is the 11th, and we still haven’t started a new theme yet, as has been our pattern for the past couple of years. October, for me, involved a huge amount of travel and time on trains. I went to St Andrews for the Transition Roadshow there, to Paris for a couple of days, to the New Forest and to Bologna in Italy. Dashing here there and everywhere means that a lot of great things happened, but also that a lot of things got put off, and those un-done things tend to pile up. So this month is a month of catching up.
So I won’t take it personally if you want to ignore me for a couple of weeks while you catch up with a few things yourself. But it does mean that I will be able to catch up with some stuff here too. I will finally be able to write a review of Naomi Klein’s vast book This Changes Everything, which I have carted about with me on most of the above journeys. I will be able to do a latest Round Up of What’s Happening in Transition which didn’t happen last month. It’ll also be an opportunity to reflect on your experience of this blog and what we might be able to do to improve. There will be other good stuff too. If you have anything you think we should be publishing this month, do get in touch.
So it’s a month about being spacious, easing up a bit, and getting some things done. It should be fun.
