Project spotlight: Crop Swap

Looking for a bit of inspiration? Check out the project directory…
There are well over 100 projects already on the projects directory on this site. They make an excellent resource for dipping into when you want to get some new practical ideas.
One caught my eye recently – from Hobsons Bay in Australia – which involves people coming together to swap surplus produce. It’s so simple, and yet works on many different levels. Check out Newport Fruit and Vegie Swap for yourselves – the “unexpected outcomes” make interesting reading. That deep desire to connect with like-minded local people is again at the heart of the affair.
Looks like it’s catching on downunder because there’s another similar project in Henley in Oz – and that one too is very nicely written up indeed.
If you’re involved in a project in your transition initiative, how about writing it up for others around the world to adopt/adapt?
