Support Wiser Earth
By Ed Mitchell 18th November 2010
Our friends over at Wiser Earth are raising funds to keep the show on the road and we recommend you visit the campaign pages to find out what they are up to and how you can help. We’re happy to support their campaign.
Transition groups around the world use the service which provides free website and collaboration tools to community groups, meaning that as well as being a free tool for community groups, it is also a large directory of grassroots organisations around the world. Not bad, eh?
Have a read of their endorsement letter signed by our very own Ben Brangwyn and others.
Here is an outline:
For three and a half years now, we’ve watched as the nonprofit WiserEarth has steadily grown to house a close-knit community of over 45,000 changemakers, a multitude of resources and information-sharing tools, and the largest editable international directory of sustainable organizations in the world, over 110,000….
Environmental and social justice challenges, from climate change to poverty, are more abundant than ever, and WiserEarth offers powerful solutions and tools to address these challenges. With economic turbulence showing no signs of halting, we want to ensure that this collective work of thousands is preserved no matter what….
A generous foundation has just offered them a matching grant of $25,000 to support the WiserEarth platform, and they need your help to match it!
Please make a donation today!
The funds we all raise will provide a crucial reserve to run the WiserEarth site and its technological upkeep for years to come. ..
