Transition Support Scotland reaches the end of project
By Ed Mitchell 17th February 2011
Transition Scotland Support have come to the end of their project funding and are wrapping up the organisation for now.
No doubt their activities will continue in different ways with different means, but it’s a significant moment of reflection and sharing for them. Well done all!
Here is their ‘end of project’ announcement with a list of the resources they have developed and a short questionnaire for those who have participated with them.
Hi there folks,
Here is our end of project questionnaire – PLEASE consider filling it in – it’s VERY SHORT!!! Click here to fill it in online, or download it here and email it back: 5 minutes max!
As you probably now know, TSS will not be continuing after March, so this is our last opportunity to find out how you feel about the work that we have done. It would really help us if you and/or your group could fill it in. It’s REALLY QUICK to do – and this is absolutely the last time ever we’ll ask!!
We’ve also included links to some of our new publications:
- How to Run A Regional Gathering: the distilled wisdom we’ve accrued over the past couple of years of running events.(also in the Transition Network resources directory)
- Games to Save the Planet: a fantastic resource from Moving Sounds (who’ve done child care at some of our gatherings), and who share their wealth of games and other ways to work with kids (of all ages). (also in the Transition Network resources directory)
- Feeding Positive Change: from Robin and Scout from BOE: a seasonal recipe book, an extension of the recipes at the back of How to Run…, which gives a great insight into cooking fantastic, food for large numbers.
If you enjoy any of these resources, do let us know!
Also, to let you know we are building a Directory of Scottish Transitioners on our website which will be available to registered users by the end of the month. Anyone who signs up to the website is automatically included unless they choose not to be. We hope this will be a useful way to find other interested people on your doorstep as it were! Click here to login or register for the site and see who else you might find there.
And finally, a reminder that there are some Training for Transition dates coming up very soon so don’t be shy and book your place before they are gone! Training for Transition is a 2-day “fundamentals” course for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful transition initiative. It is packed with imaginative and inspiring ways to delve into both the theory and practice of Transition – a detailed outline of the course is here.
