Transition Town Worthing (UK) gazette – excellent example
By Ben Brangwyn 7th April 2010
Transition Town Worthing not only have a rather eyecatching (and cheap to print) logo but have now come up with a really excellent and readable “Post Carbon Gazette” – which they dub as “Worthing’s fastest growing peak-oil-related newsletter” :¬)
From their email:
“This month, the focus is on Local Food. We have been inundated by contributions this month which demonstrates the interest in this topic within the local community. What is included is an initial TTW response to the big questions such as ‘How will Worthing feed itself beyond cheap oil?’ Following the highly successful TTW event on The Future of Food last month, members of the TTW Local Food group have been busy writing. What we have ended up with is a rich variety of thought-provoking food stories, cartoons and ideas:
• How does Worthing feed itself in 2050?
• Seasonal produce
• Recipes
• Food miles and the future
• What was a supermarket trolley, Granddad?
• Food facts
• How to get involved in Worthing
• Local vegetable growing schemes
• Local food projects”
Highly recommended. Ben.
