Join Transition Network as our new Treasurer
By Yaz Brien 28th May 2020
Can you bring an understanding of budgets and organisational finances, a fresh perspective, time and energy to help us to deliver on our purpose and strategy?
“The biggest reward of being a trustee of TN is the opportunity to contribute to, and help shape, a movement that is part of a global network of movements making positive change in the world.”
Transition Network is a charity registered in England and Wales that works internationally to support the Transition movement. We are looking for a new Treasurer to join our team as a trustee, and we welcome applicants from a diversity of backgrounds and lived experiences. As Treasurer you would join a groundbreaking organisation, using shared governance structures and processes.
Our trustees exercise their legal responsibilities while working within a non-hierarchical governance model which empowers all members of the team to act autonomously and to input into key decisions. Trustees and the staff team form a primary circle which keeps Transition Network’s organisational purpose under review and agrees our areas of strategic focus. As well as performing an oversight function, as required by the Charity Commission, trustees can undertake other roles within our structure as skills, capacity, interest and opportunity allow.
Being a trustee is an unpaid, voluntary role.
Interested? You can find out more about Transition Network and the role of Treasurer in our TN Trustee Treasurer Information Pack 2020.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 12 July 2020. If you have any queries that are not covered in the pack, or would like to send us your application – drop us a line at trustee-recruitment@transitionnetwork.org
We look forward to hearing from you!
