Can you help Transition Network by becoming a Trustee?
By Yaz Brien 12th September 2019
Do you have wisdom, a fresh perspective, time and energy that you want to place in service to an innovative organisation?
Transition Network is a charity registered in England and Wales, working internationally to support the Transition movement. We need new trustees from a diversity of backgrounds and lived experiences who can help guide our strategy and join an ongoing experiment in shared governance. We are seeking to recruit three new trustees, including a new Treasurer.
Our trustees exercise their legal responsibilities while working within a non-hierarchical governance model, empowering all members of the team to act autonomously and to input into key decisions. Trustees come together with staff to form a primary circle which keeps Transition Network’s organisational purpose under review and agrees our areas of strategic focus. Trustees perform an oversight function, as required by the Charity Commission, and can undertake other roles within our structure as skills, capacity, interest and opportunity allow.
Interested? You can find out more about Transition Network and the roles of Trustee and Treasurer in the recruitment pack which is available to download below.
Being a trustee is an unpaid, voluntary role.
“The biggest reward of being a trustee of TN is the opportunity to contribute to, and help shape, a movement that is part of a global network of movements making positive change in the world.”
