Ingredients and tools cards


picture of ingredients cardsHere is a great tool for deepening your understanding of the ingredients and tools, a free download for you to play with.  Beautifully designed by Marina Vons-Gupta they come with suggested games and ideas for how to use them.  All you need is a printer, some scissors, and a few people!

How to print in duplex:

Printing duplex from Mac:
- Choose File > Print.
- Make sure that the Print dialog box is in the expanded mode by clicking the arrow to the right of the Printer pop-up menu.
- For the page position select "Auto rotate and Center"
- For the page scaling select the option "Shrink to printable area"
- The Print dialog box, change from "copies and pages" to "Layout". From the Two-Sided pop-up menu, select a binding option as follow:
=> When printing the Tools card select "Long edge"
=> When printing the Ingredients cards select "Short edge"
- Click Print, and then click OK from the main Print dialog box.

Printing duplex from Windows (The dialogue box varies printer to printer. It's possible that your dialog doesn't match the instructions below):
- Choose File > Print.
- Click the Properties button.
- Click the Layout tab.
- From the layout tab select the binding options as follow:
=> When printing the Tools card select "Flip on Long edge"
=> When printing the Ingredients cards select "Flip on Short edge"
- If you don't see 'Both Sides' or 'duplex' option, make sure that your printer duplex option is turned on.
- Click OK, and then click OK again to print.

If you do not see a double-sided option, it's possible that feature isn't turned on; in which case proceed as follow:
- Choose Start > Printers And Faxes (Windows XP) or Start > Devices and Printers (Windows 7).
- Right-click your printer and choose Printing Preferences.
- Click Advanced.
- Expand Document Options > Printer Features.
- Select the desired options and then choose On from the pop-up menu. If you don't find duplex printing and stapling in the options, then your selected printer doesn’t support those features.
- Click OK, and then click OK again to exit the dialog box.
